Visit us in Belize's Cayo District.
Make sure you stay long enough!

duPlooy's is a small jungle lodge, where visitors feel relaxed in our friendly surroundings. There are plenty of activities right on the premises - swimming in the waters of the Macal River, relaxing on a beautiful sandy beach, canoeing, horseback riding or visiting the adjacent Belize Botanic Gardens.

duPlooy's offers a variety of rooms to suit everyone. Rooms have porches, hot water, ceiling fans and screened windows. All porches have hammocks.

About electricity, duPlooy's is powered by 110v current, the same as in the United States. The generator is usually on from 5am to 12pm. You also have kerosene lamps and matches in your room. Laundry service is available, load, washed, dried and folded, also phone, fax, Internet and snail mail.
Meals and Drinks - We offer Meal Plans and the menu is also available. We have daily specials as well as set menu which includes vegetarian choices. We do not serve beef, because at duPlooy's we try to keep our negative impact on the environment to a minimum. At the bar you will find a lack of plastic straws and paper napkins and we only serve the soft drink and beer products that come in recyclable containers.
duPlooy’s has recently added a “spa”, though we prefer to call it a massage house or treatment center. We encourage our guests to come for their “tree top therapy” after a long day of touring or when they feel a need for some extra relaxation. This quaint building is found nestled amongst the trees in a little garden near the office. Our treatments are done mostly with natural ingredients, fresh fruits, plants, and herbs. Spa packages are available upon request

Activities - There are tons of things to do in and around the area of duPlooy's Jungle Lodge. You can choose to go canoeing on the Macal, Mopan or Belize rivers, visit some Mayan ruins, see some spectacular caves, go horseback riding across the Belizean countryside or even stay right here for the day bird watching, swimming or visiting Belize Botanic Gardens.

Bird watching can be done in a civilized fashion right from duPlooy's deck with its 200 feet canopied walkway; from the bird blind in Belize Botanic Gardens; walking leisurely about the property; on guided hikes.

…Visit the Mountain Pine Ridge, a natural wonder unique to its environment, with its many wonderful places to see including the Rio-On pools…

duPlooy’s has horses for those who wish to see Belize via one of its earlier modes of transportation. duPlooy’s has some of the most incredible riding destinations in the area, guests can visit Flour Camp Cave, Cristo Rey Falls or just ride around the area
