Vine Snake - Few snake species in the world have such an extensive distribution as the Brown Vine Snake. Its habitats range from dry forests in Arizona to the Amazonian rainforest of Brazil. This highly adaptable reptile hunts in the forest undergrowth and canopy for small frogs and lizards, which it immobilizes with a mild poison. If approached very slowly these snakes will remain still in an attempt to blend with their surroundings, which makes dramatic close-up photographs possible.
