Play golf during the day and brighten up your nights with the lights of San José, natures fireworks at Arenal Volcano and the starlit beaches of the Pacific Coast. Begin your vacation at the Meliá Cariari Conference Center & Golf Resort. After a morning round at the Cariari Country Club and a relaxing afternoon, try your luck at the resort’s casino before venturing to the nightlife of downtown San José. Here you will find nightclubs, discos, sports bars, mariachis, more casinos and some excellent restaurants. We will provide a list of recommended restaurants in San José and at the beach. A leisurely four hour drive will allow plenty of time for sightseeing (we will provide a list of recommended stops) while traveling from the city lights to the lights of Arenal Volcano. After checking in at your hotel you may wish to seek out hot springs or just enjoy the view from your room. Arenal often puts on fireworks displays which are spectacular on clear nights.
Next it is off to the beach. You can head for sun and golf at either the five star Meliá Playa Conchal Beach and Golf Resort on the beach in northwestern Guanacaste Province or for the equally luxurious Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort on the Central Pacific Coast. Meliá Playa Conchal is surrounded by the Garra de León Golf Course, a Robert Trent Jones II masterpiece. The nearby Royal Pacific Golf and Country Club features a Ron Garl designed course that cuts through the hilly terrain overlooking Playa Grande. Or you can play the Hacienda Pinilla Golf Course adjoining Playa Langosta and designed by Mike Young. For nightlife, Meliá Playa Conchal offers a disco and a casino. The nearby towns of Tamarindo and Flamingo Beach add to your entertainment and dining options. A peaceful starlit walk along beautiful Playa Conchal is the perfect way to end your day. Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort offers a spectacular 18 hole gem designed by Ted Robinson. It is surrounded by lush rainforest and several holes overlook a secluded ocean cove. The Marriott Hotel offers a casino and several restaurants. The lively nearby town of Jaco Beach with its internationally diverse mix of residents offers many culinary delights along with discos and live entertainment.
