| OPTIONAL TOURS - Dolphins - You can hear their musical sounds and swim with them. Nature trips on the ocean are also a relaxing way to view the sealife from offshore. It includes snorkeling, sportfishing. During trips we offer tropical refreshments. Duration: 4 hrs. / Capacity: 4 to 10 people Ostional - This Tour will take you in a minibus or ATV to Ostional, 36 km from Samara, visiting also Playa Pelada and Guiones (surfers beach). You will observe the turtles laying their eggs in this beach! This tour is organized three days a month during the whole year. Duration 5 to 6 hours. Kayak And Snorkeling - It's posible to go to Isla Chora, a small island in from of Samara beach by kayac and enjoy the good snorkeling this place offer. Duration: 2 hrs. / Minimum 4 people. Diving - This tour takes you to the coral reefs in front of playa Samara or Carrillo. You'll discover another world beneath the level of the sea. Duration: 3 to 4 hours. Horseback ridding - See the surroundings of Playa Samara, visiting many nearby beaches. Duration: Variable |

HOW TO GET THERE - By Car: From San José follow the Interamerican Highway to the north, until the turnoff for ferry Tempisque river. After crossing the Gulf of Nicoya follow the road to Nicoya and from there continue to Samara. By Plane: There are has regular round trip flights every day from San José to Carrillo. By Bus: Bus leaves every day from San José at 12:30 p.m. and 6:15pm from Alfaro Bus Station, 150 meters north west from the Coca-Cola station. The cost of one way ticket is $6 per person and the trip is approximately 6 hours long. We advise you to buy tickets one day in advance. |
