Bahia Pez Vela is a seaside community consisting of 19 ocean front villas on one of Costa Rica's most secluded beaches. The Villas
Set in a lush, tropical cove sheltering howler monkeys, parrots, toucans and a host of other wildlife, each of our villas boasts a spectacular view of the ocean, with fish jumping on the horizon and pelicans swooping for their breakfast. Location
We are centrally located to several national parks, volcanoes, waterfalls, caves and stunning beaches. Nearby is the best diving in the country and, quite possibly, the best fishing as well. Though our peaceful, secluded vacation community seems worlds away from civilization, the conveniences of Playa del Coco and the Liberia International Airport, just 20 minutes away, are near to hand.

Nestled in a secluded cove on a pristine private beach, Bahía Pez Vela is a seaside community of luxury vacation villas located in Playa Ocotal, near Playa del Coco in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Bahía Pez Vela Resort does not have transportation for our guests, so we strongly recommend to all guests that they rent a car while on vacation.

How to get to us
Flying: It will take you about 45 minutes to fly from San Jose to the Liberia International airport. From there, it is a 20 minute drive to Bahía Pez Vela Resort.
Driving from San Jose or Liberia: From San José airport, take the Pan American Highway west to Liberia it will take you about 3 1/2 or 4 hours by car. Once in Liberia, turn left at the only traffic light onto Highway 151 west towards Playa del Coco. 30 kilometers out of Liberia, you will see signs for Playa del Coco; turn right at this intersection. There is a Shell gas station on the left – there is no traffic light at this intersection, so be sure to look for the Shell station. Follow the road to Playa del Coco for about 10-15 minutes. As you enter the town of Coco, the road divides. One block after the division ends, you will see “Rich Coast Dive Shop” on your left. Take the first left after the dive shop. Follow the signs to “Bahía Pez Vela”. The gate to the property will be on the left-hand side of the road. Keep following the signs to Bahía Pez Vela until you enter the property going down a hill.
