J.D.'s Watersports is a professional watersports operation located on Costa Rica's lush central Pacific coast. We operate several exceptional adventures, including world-class Sportfishing, Jungle River Cruises, Sunset Cruises, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Boogie Boarding and Sea Kayaking. We're located in Hotel Punta Leona, only 90 minutes from the San Jose International Airport.

We are easily accessible from San Jose, Puntarenas (the Allegro Caribbean Village Fiesta Hotel), Puerto Caldera (the main Pacific Cruise Ship Port), Jaco, and Hotel Villa Caletas. We are only 10 minutes from the new Los Suenos Marriott Beach & Golf Resort.

Hotel Punta Leona is a 750-acre private biological reserve, and features one of Costa Rica's top 5 white sand beaches. Punta Leona offers something for everyone, including 108 standard rooms, 24 condos, 2 restaurants, 4 swimming pools, tennis, guided rainforest hikes, horseback riding, and many family activities. Its pristine rainforest reserve is full of monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, iguanas, and countless plants and animals. Punta Leona is the only location in Costa Rica that offers a virgin rainforest and great beach less than 2 hours from Downtown San Jose.

For your enjoyment J.D. Watersports
offers the following fun filled packages...

Famous for its large American Crocodiles, the Tarcoles River forms the Northern border of Carara Biological Reserve on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The Tarcoles is full of crocodiles, Scarlet Macaws, Jesus Christ Lizards, and over 120 species of birds. But everyone comes to see the huge croc's - so big they have names like "Saddam Hussein" and "Mike Tyson!"
J.D.'s Watersports operates environmentally-sensitive daily tours on the Tarcoles River. Unlike some of other companies, we do not feed the crocodiles. This is an ecologically-friendly tour, desgined for you to experience, photograph and enjoy the native wildlife. Our private property on the river features beautiful landscaping and a botanical garden.

We board our custom-built, flat-bottom river boats at our property and glide downstream on this quiet river with our naturalist guide, who expertly describes the birds, animals, and their habitats in great detail. After visiting the river mouth, we venture up a mature mangrove estuary, where we stop to see this remarkable eco-system. Then, we slowly return upstream to our property, where we provide lunch and refreshments.

This is our most popular tour, and is perfect for people of all ages and interests. Hundreds of people have called this the best tour in Costa Rica.
