The Gallo Pinto Tour
(15 days/14 nights)

Day 1 - You will arrive in Managua. Pick-up at airport and transfer to our City hotel.

Day 2 - After breakfast and a briefing of the trip, a visit to the most important monuments of the capital. Following this, we will drive from Lake Managua to the former capital, León. Dinner in the city and two nights accommodation at Hotel Europe.

Day 3 - Breakfast. Walking visit of the Cathedral, the old University and the Museum of Rubén Darío. In the afternoon, we will take a trip to the Pacific Ocean and the town of Poneloya, also visiting the natural Reserve of Juan Venado famous for its mangroves. Dinner in León.

Day 4 - Breakfast. We will depart to the cool region of the central mountain area. After passing through the town of Matagalpa, we will reach the famous lodge of Selva Negra. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a walk through the mixed tropical forest. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Selva Negra.

Day 5 - Bird watching just outside the door of your bungalow is incredible. After breakfast, you can enjoy the area on your own, before we depart for Granada, the oldest colonial town in the Americas. Tonight dinner and three nights accommodation at Hotel Alhambra.

Day 6 - Breakfast. Excursion to the national park and volcano of Masaya, followed by a tour of the town of Masaya with its colorful indigenous market. On the way back to Granada, we will stop at Catarina, which has a tremendous view of the Laguna Apoyo. Dinner in Granada.

Day 7 - Breakfast. After continuing visiting several places of interest, you can enjoy the charms of the city at your own leisure. In the late afternoon, we will pick you up for an excursion to the romantic ‘Isletas”. Dinner in Puerto Asese.

Day 8 - Breakfast. Breakfast and departure to the island of Ometepe. Transfer to Playa Santo Domingo, passing through traditional little villages and the legendary Charco Verde. The afternoon is free for the visitor to swim, relax or walk along the beach. Dinner and two nights accommodation at Hotel Villa Paraiso.

Day 9 - Breakfast. Depending of the physical condition of the group, we will explore the volcano Maderas. For visitors in good condition, we will climb to the Laguna of Maderas. Lunch-package on the way.

Day 10 - Breakfast and departure to the mainland. Transfer to the airport and flight to Bluefields on the Atlantic coast for some Caribbean impressions and atmosphere. Dinner in the town and one night accommodation at Hotel South Atlantic.

Day 11-13 - Breakfast. At afternoon flight to Corn Island. Transfer to our beach Hotel. Until day 14, three nights accommodation with half board at Hotel Club Paraiso. The following days will be dedicated to swimming in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, biking around the island, snorkeling on the beautiful reef, enjoying delicious seafood or just being lazy and lying in the hammock.

Day 14 - Breakfast. In the afternoon, flight back to Managua and transfer to Hotel Cesar or Hostal Real.

Day 15 - Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
