Day 1 : Managua
You will arrive in Managua. Pick-up at airport and transfer to our City hotel in Managua.
Accommodation at Hostal Real*** or similar
Day 2 : Managua – León
After breakfast and a briefing of the trip, we will visit the most important monuments of the capital city. Following this, we will drive from Lake Managua to the former capital, León. Walking through the colonial streets of this city, we will visit its principal monuments the Cathedral, the old University and the Museum of Rubén Darío. Dinner in the city and accommodation at Hotel Los Balcones** or equivalent. (B, D) |

Day 3 : León – San Jacinto - Matagalpa – Selva Negra
Breakfast. We will depart to the cool region of the central mountain area of Nicaragua. On the way we will visit the San Jacinto Hot springs and observe the boiling soils, testimony of the strong volcanic activity of the region. After passing through the town of Matagalpa, we will reach the famous lodge of Selva Negra. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a walk through a mixed tropical forest. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Selva Negra. (B, D)
Day 4 : Selva Negra – Masaya Volcano - Laguna de Apoyo
Bird watching just outside the door of your bungalow is incredible. After breakfast, you can enjoy the area on your own, before we depart to the Pacific area and reach our next destination : the Apoyo Lagoon. Dinner and accommodation at Lodge San Simian**. (B, D)

Day 5 : Laguna Apoyo -Ometepe
In the morning, by ferry we will reach the island of Ometepe and we’ll transfer to Playa Santo Domingo, passing through traditional little villages and the legendary Charco Verde. The afternoon is free for the visitor to swim, relax or walk along the beach. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Villa Paraiso*(*) are included. (B, D)
Day 6 : Maderas Volcano – Charco Verde - Granada
Breakfast. Than, we will explore part of the Maderas volcano, observing the rural life of the island. We will also observe the famous Petroglyphs testimony of the strong Pre Columbian activity on Ometepe. In the afternoon, return to the main town passing to the mainland. Drive to Granada. Accommodation at Hotel La Casona de los Estrada**(*) (B, L) |
Day 7 : Granada - Isletas
Breakfast. We will visit the several places of interest in the city, like the Cathedral, the “Casa de los Leones”, la Merced Church, the “San Francisco Convent. Then, we will start a boat tour to the romantic and tropical “Isletas”. Lunch at Puerto Asese. The rest of the afternoon, we will continue our visit of the colonial jewel Granada, the oldest town in the America’s. Accommodation at Hotel La Casona de los Estrada. (B, L)
Day 8 : Granada – Managua – Corn Island
Breakfast. Transfer to Managua Airport and flight to Corn Island. Transfer to our beach Hotel. Two nights accommodation at Hotel Arenas Beach***. Rest of the day is at your disposal. (B)
Day 9 : Corn Island
Breakfast. This day will be dedicated for swimming in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, biking around the island, snorkeling on the beautiful reef, enjoying delicious seafood or just being lazy and lying in the hammock. (B)
Day 10 : Corn Island – Managua
Breakfast. Morning is free to finish enjoying the island. In the afternoon, you’ll take a flight back to Managua and transfer to Hostal Real or equivalent. (B) |
